National Dog Day - SAVE THE DOGS!

Sunday 26th August is National Dog Day, so to celebrate this day we have decided to donate 30% of all purchases this weekend (Friday-Sunday) to the Swedish non-profit organisation, Dog Rescue.
We are going to take this opportunity to help spread awareness about the horrific conditions and the brutality against dogs that occurs in Romania, and we are going to tell you how you can help!
Thousands of dogs in Romania have been sentenced to 'a life of hell'. They are abused, tortured, injured and many carry diseases. In an article published in the Daily Mail UK online site it stated, 'in one case, all four legs of a dog had been partially and deliberately hacked off with an axe by a teenage boy. Another young dog suffered a blood clot after official dog catchers fired a four-inch nail between his eyes. This weekend a puppy was also discovered 'buried alive' in a deep freezer beside the bodies of other puppies.'
Many of us live in a world where this kind of animal cruelty does not exist so it is very hard to fathom that this kind of brutality occurs on a daily basis in some countries. Yet we must be aware, and we must help to stop this! I have a dog of my own, a black labrador named Bella. She is our family and the thought of her being mistreated makes my stomach ache.
DogRescue is a nonprofit organization that works to help stray dogs and other animals in Romania to a better life. The association was founded in 2010 by a group of enthusiastic and driven dog lovers with several years of experience in their own adopted dogs, adoption activities and a very good international network.
Now is a great way to spread awareness and to donate some money to the rescue team so that they can get more of these poor dogs to a happier, healthier home and a better life that they deserve!
You can visit their webpage to learn more: www.dogrescue.se
You can also donate to the cause directly on their page. And just as a reminder, 30% of all tea sales from Friday 24th-Sunday 26th August will be donated to Dog Rescue Sweden.
And lastly, treat your darling dogs this weekend more than usual, they deserve it for all the love and happiness they bring to your life!
