No matter what season you are in, an iced tea is always so refreshing and thirst quenching. As we in Sweden are experiencing a beautiful Spring right now we decided to make a floral and sweet ‘spring’ iced tea
There are a couple ways to prepare an iced tea, cold brewed ,hot brewed, different steeping times for different kinds of tea etc. We have used our SPRING BLEND for this iced tea recipe. Our spring blend contains the hero ingredient Silver Needle White Tea, lavender, pear, rose and a touch of vanilla To make this iced tea even refreshing we have added some fresh mint.
This iced tea is not only refreshing, it’s also calming and contains an abundance of health benefits. Drinking this tea regularly may help boost your immune system, assist with lowering blood pressure, the antioxidants will protect and heal skin, help to reduce anxiety and stress, boost the health of hair follicles, improve digestion, regulate hormones, boost your moods and so much more!
Let’s get into it! Here’s what you’ll need...
- 3 tbsp Midsummer Tea Spring Blend
- 1/2 fresh pear sliced
- 2 tbsp organic honey
- fresh mint
- lavender sprig for garnish
- bowl & strainer
- 5 cups (12 dl) boiling water
Put tea, pear, honey and some mint leaves in a bowl, then pour over the boiling water and gently stir, to dissolve the honey.
*Be sure not to boil the water any hotter than 70 degrees Celsius, to prevent damaging the tea leaves. You want to make sure you get all the health benefits you can out of this iced tea.
Place bowl in refrigerator and leave there for at least one hour so the tea has extra time to brew and chill.
Remove from refrigerator and strain the liquid into a jug. Do not throw away the brewed tea, if you plan to make more iced tea on the same day you can reuse this mix. Also, get a teaspoon and taste the tea, perhaps you prefer it sweeter or more mint/lavender etc. You can tweak it to your personal taste.
Serve tea in a glass/tea bottle filled with ice and garnish with some fresh mint and a sprig of lavender, and voila!
Goodluck! We hope you enjoy this delicious, healthy iced tea recipe.
